I had gotten a job working in a Doctor's office. As time went by, in this job I was expected to lie to Insurance companies to achieve the results that were expected of me. This bothered me deeply, but I didn't know what to do. Economic times were bad and I really did need the job to pay everyday living expenses, so I was stuck.
I prayed along with my prayer group repeatedly about this problem, but then forgot about the prayers as the pressing needs of others who needed prayers became the focus of our prayer intentions.
One day, I was called in to my supervisor's office and told that my position was going to be eliminated due to budget cut backs. This happened at a very bad time for us. The economy was terrible and to make it worse, it happened the day before my husband and I were about to leave on a long overdue getaway where we hoped to relax and renew.
Now, instead of relaxing, I was worried about having no job to come home to.
Even though I was being let go, I worked very hard to have everything caught up at work so nothing would fall behind in my absence.
I even trained another person to do the things that needed to be done while I was away.
My manager said I could file for unemployment when I returned from my trip.
I was, of course, devastated.
But after a few days away, I remembered my prayers and thought God must have something planned for me!
So I trusted.
After being out of work for the summer, my husband saw an ad in the classifieds looking for someone with my qualifications for the same type of work I had previously done.
I faxed my resume that very day and right after the weekend I got a call from the office manger for an interview.
Exactly 3 weeks later I was hired!
THANK YOU JESUS.
The salary is the same and the job is great!
I love the people I work with, and I am not asked to do anything dishonest.
This job is also within walking distance if I don't care to drive!
I feel that I am really Blessed, knowing that so many people are still out of work in this terrible economic time.
Sometimes you ask Our Lord for something, like I did about my job, and you think you will not get what you pray for, or that maybe He is not listening.
He is always listening.
He answers in His own Perfect Time. |
